Preface

To better understand the nature of this book and what I intended for it to be, it may be useful to first explain what this book is not. This book was not meant to be a comprehensive JavaScript reference, nor did I intend for it to be a guide for beginners. It is not a cook book of JavaScript recipes, nor is it a critique of the JavaScript language itself.

All this is, is a compilation of notes covering topics I find most interesting and peculiar about the JavaScript lanuage. In this book, I will attempt to read articles and documentation that may be dense in wording, and translate it into plain and concise language. My aim is to explain complex concepts in a way that is clear and easy to follow.

Because this book goes into great detail about some topics, while completely glossing over others, it may be in your best interest to read it only as a supplement to other, more complete guides.
